Why are eFusjon Energy Drinks the Healthiest Around?

Why are eFusjon Energy Drinks the Healthiest Around?

As far as energy drinks go, most of them do not contain the healthiest combination of ingredients you can find. I’m sure you’ve heard the news that the NEW Red Bull Cola was recently found to contain trace amounts of COCAINE. Well, Red Bull’s signature drinks have also been found to aggravate high blood pressure and heart related conditions, and possibly can increase the risk of having a stroke. This is because of the ingredients put into the drinks intended to give you that energy boost without the thought of health issues that may arise from it’s use.If you take a good look at the ingredients of any popular energy drink, you will find certain substances are found in most of them. Not all of which are the healthiest ingredients and substances that should be put into your body.

On top of the potential health issues, most popular energy drinks have a bad crash when you are coming down from the “high” these ingredients give you. Caffeine and Taurine are just two of the ingredients found in almost all energy drinks. Taurine is an amino acid produced in the testicles of bulls. The taurine used in the drinks is manufactured so it doesn’t come from bulls, but still, it’s not intended for human consumption, it’s for bulls! Caffeine isn’t bad for you unless you take too much of it or you are allergic. Anything over 60mg is going to give you adverse side-effects from the caffeine such as nausea, heart palpitations, headache, insomnia, etc… Most people know the effects of too much caffeine from experience.

Since I don’t want to say too many bad things about popular energy drinks that are most likely unhealthy, I will now explain why eFusjon Energy Drinks are different from the rest of the pack. eFusjon Energy Drinks are among the healthiest energy drinks available. There are more drinks that have healthy ingredients, but I haven’t found any energy drinks with this many healthy and high quality ingredients. Acai Berry is the main ingredient in eFusjon’s RAW and EDGE drinks which is one of the healthiest berries you can find with more health benefits being discovered every day. Also, the Acai Berry is very tasty and healthy.

Crystalline Fructose

Reported Health Benefits:

Improves insulin sensitivity and glycemic control in healthy and diabetic individuals
Lower blood glucose levels after ingestion

Note: According to reports, Crystalline Fructose and HFCS(high fructose corn syrup) are not the same thing. HFCS is manufactured from cornstarch after the removal of protein and fiber. The cornstarch is hydrolyzed to form dextrose, which then undergoes an isomerization process to yield different forms of HFCS that vary depending on the final fructose content. HFCS therefore contains other components in addition to fructose, the majority of which is glucose with minor contributions of other substances including maltose, maltotriose and poly dextrose, In contrast, reports state that crystalline fructose is purified and does not contain appreciable amounts of other components. Reportedly when Type 2 diabetics were given equicaloric amounts of HFCS or fructose the ones given HFCS experienced much higher levels of glucose and insulin than those given fructose.

Crystalline fructose is processed. It is derived from corn, just like HFCS, but enriched with fructose. The fructose is crystallized, dried, and milled, then used as a sweetener in the likes of beverages and yogurts. It consists of 98% fructose and <2% style=”font-weight: bold;”>What is the difference between crystalline fructose and high fructose corn syrup?

Crystalline fructose and high-fructose corn syrup are often mistakenly confused as the same product. Crystalline fructose is simply pure fructose in crystalline form. It’s 100% fructose. High-fructose corn syrup is composed of nearly equal amounts of fructose and glucose.

What are the advantages of crystalline fructose?

Crystalline fructose offers unique benefits when used in a variety of products, including improved product texture, taste and stability. When combined with other sweeteners and starches, crystalline fructose boosts sweetness, cake height (in baked goods) and mouth-feel of foods and beverages. In addition, it produces a pleasing brown surface color and pleasant aroma when baking.

Ascorbic acid

Is a sugar acid with antioxidant properties. Its appearance is white to light-yellow crystals or powder. It is water-soluble. The L-enantiomer of ascorbic acid is commonly known as vitamin C.

What is selenium?

Selenium
is a trace mineral that is essential to good health but required only in small amounts. Selenium is incorporated into proteins to make selenoproteins, which are important antioxidant enzymes. The antioxidant properties of selenoproteins help prevent cellular damage from free radicals. Free radicals are natural by-products of oxygen metabolism that may contribute to the development of chronic diseases such as cancer and heart disease Other selenoproteins help regulate thyroid function and play a role in the immune system.

Biotin

Is an essential water-soluble B vitamin. The name biotin is taken from the Greek word bios meaning “life.” Without biotin, certain enzymes do not work properly and various complications can occur involving the skin, intestinal tract, and nervous system. Metabolic problems including very low blood sugars between meals, high blood ammonia, or acidic blood (acidosis) can occur. Death is theoretically possible, although no clear cases have been reported. Recent studies suggest that biotin is also necessary for processes on the genetic level in cells (DNA replication and gene expression). Biotin deficiency is extremely rare. This is because daily biotin requirements are relatively small, biotin is found in many foods, and the body is able to recycle much of the biotin it has already used. Significant toxicity has not been reported in the available literature with biotin intake.

Taiwan: Religious buildings–a way to explore how cultures mix

The popular image of multi-culturalism as a mosaic, a salad bowl in which different cultures mix but keep their integrity, is misleading. Cultures are more like soups, flavored with many ingredients, some identifiable. –From the book ‘Cultures and societies in a changing world,’ written by Wendy Griswold.

Taiwan has a long history of diasporas and colonization. Even the so-called ‘aboriginal people’ in Taiwan drifted there several thousands years ago. About four hundreds years ago, many Han Chinese from China migrated to Taiwan and changed the aboriginal culture.

For example, Siraya, one group of the aboriginal people, has its own religion, A-Li-Tsu. The historied religious building is very simple. After sinicization, their religious buildings look more like the religious buildings for Groundskeeper God in Han’s culture.

Japan had colonized Taiwan from 1895 to the end of WWII. In 1949, the government of Republic of China lost its former territory following the Chinese civil war and moved to Taiwan. Therefore, it is not surprising that we can saw Japanese-style Buddha statue in a Han’s religious building (photo # 1), which was rebuilt after 1949.

In the 17th century, the Spanish and Dutch ruled Taiwan shortly, and the exposure to the western culture seems to influence the decorations in traditional Han’s religious building–the sculpture in photo # 2 shows a western man wearing a suit in a Han’s temple.

The Spanish and Dutch also brought Christianity to Taiwan, and Christianity is one of the major religions in Taiwan. Photo # 3 shows a church with Torii, a traditional Japanese gate commonly found at the entry of to a Shinto shrine.

There is another flavor added to the religious buildings in Taiwan: modern. Decades ago, some fishermen picked up several damaged god statues and set up a temple for them. However, where they set up this temple became a park and the government asked them to move the temple. Because they do not have other place to set up the temple, they can only move the temple when the policemen came. At the end, the government decided to let the temple stay, but due to the possibility of flooding, the temple is designed to be able to be raised up when needed (along the four pillars around the temple).

After reading this article, do you think multi-culturalism observed in Taiwan is a salad bowl or soups?

Taiwan: Support for Tibet

For Tibetan independence movement, most Taiwanese support and sympathize Tibetans, and many people changed their twitter profile figure to the flag of Tibet which represents Tibetan independence movement.

Many artists, writers, musicians, and social movement participants held ‘Bringing love to Tibet’ to pray for Tibetans:

多年來,台灣年輕志工的身影,經常出現在全球各地需要協助的所在。如今,與台灣只隔著中國的西藏,受到暴力鎮壓,台灣年輕人感同身受,決心挺身聲援,用音樂、詩歌聲援西藏。

Young volunteers from Taiwan have worked overseas wherever help is needed. Now Tibet is violently oppressed by China, and these young Taiwanese identify ourselves with the Tibetans. We decided to support Tibetans, by our music and poems.

Compared to other countries, Tibetan independence movement has a very special meaning for Taiwan. Most of the discussions are based on empathy, because Taiwan and Tibet are both threatened and manipulated by China. Terry said,

I am afraid of this country (China) due to its past records of cruelty. When I was in high school, there was Tiananmen Square protests. A lot of evidence shows that there was military oppression in Tiananmen square, and many people were killed. Facing this neighbor with blood in its hand, I am afraid and alert.

Many people said that we should not put restrains on ourselves and give up the opportunity of prosperity by doing business with this neighbor since we have the niche of using the same language. However, if the opportunity of prosperity comes with oppression and loss of democracy and freedom, I will choose to be conservative. Living a poor life is all right, if I can speak, breath, and live happily and freely.

Some people reflected Taiwan’s history and compared its own oppressed past with Tibetan independence movement. Judie said, Tibetans are in their 228 Massacre.

Tibetans are experiencing their 228 Massacre, making a difficult stand against the foreign ruler.[…] Their independence movement is misunderstood and slandered. The blood from these innocent people keeps running and the hurt is deepened.

Many people criticized the mass media in Taiwan. Jas took blocking the news about Tibet for example and said, because the sources and gatekeepers are different, this independence movement is reported differently.

(China) said there were only ‘a few’ people joining Tiananmen Square protests and there are only ‘a few’ people supporting the independence of Taiwan, and now they referred to the oppressed Tibetans as ‘a few’ again.

Tucci in Germany compared the news about Tibet in Taiwan and Germany, and said the news is obviously less in Taiwan than in Germany.

A country that uses its military to kill the protesters is depreciating and ruining human right.[…] I think this independence movement will be as important as Tiananmen Square protests. However, I am sorry to see the major media in Taiwan did not take it seriously, which is very different from how German media treats it.

Sindia in Beijing talked about the information blockage in China.

Some people asked me how people in Beijing view this Tibetan independence movement. Under this condition, most people in Beijing don’t know what happens in Tibet. If some of them know, they only know that some Tibetans evoked violence and hurt innocent Han people, and Dalai Lama have orchestrated it to ruin the Olympic Games in Beijing and for their independence. This is what mass media in China said. In this condition, what do you think people in Beijing can comment?

Although China government blocks the information, due to the advance of technology, some people in China tries to use instant messanger and twitter to see people’s comment about the protest in Tibet, even though they are confused or unhappy. A message in zola may show some people’s opinions:

西藏現在需要的,是健康的發展和對藏文化的保護,以及西藏問題的和平解決,罈子裡這些喊打喊殺的兄弟,如果你們有一個真正的藏族朋友,也許你們就不會說那些話了。

What Tibet needs is healthy development, protecting their culture, and solving political issues peacefully. For whoever says we should kill and oppress, if you have Tibetan friends, you will not say so any more.

Annpo asked Chinese friends through twitter, and one of them who worked in Tibet said:

藏区的生活的确改善很大,起码比周边的国家都不错,这是应该看到的。但[…]生活好了,就会满足吗?[…]政府免费让他们读书,却用的是汉族课本。[…]藏族人对青藏铁路并不完全是支持的。而在拉萨日益繁华的时候,我那些老藏族的邻居却一个个都搬走了,这些难道还不够说明问题?

The life condition in Tibet does improve a lot. We can see life in Tibet is better now compared to its neighbors. However, […] can we satisfy people only by making their life better? […] The government provides free education, but the textbooks are Han’s textbooks. […] Not all Tibetans support the Qinghai-Tibet Railway. When Lhasa becomes prosperous, my Tibetan friends keep moving out. Can’t these observations explain the problem in Tibet?

There are other people caring about Tibet. Reiw in Hong Kong made a detail analysis and zola shared the summary of the news. Chao-Chen Lin, a reporter interviewing Dalai Lama and many Tibetans before, explained the problem of Tibet is due to the failure of conversation between Dalai Lama and Chinese government, and the development brought by China government that destroys their culture.

China:Carrefour under boycott threat

Carrefour has been rolled into a campaign mixed up with both boycott and anti-boycott.

Recently, a widely circulated message writes

We hope you are able to boycott Carrefour at least on 1 May, to deliver, by the empty Carrefour that day, one message to the western world: Chinese shouldn’t be humiliated! Chinese people shouldn’t be insulted!
The boycott against Carrefour is going to spreading all over the country, and we anticipate your presence! Thank you.

Carrefour, the French retail giant, is the newest target on the list of what cyber-nationalists in China hate and aim at. Cell phone text messages calling on boycotts are popping up, over 5000 net cafes in China, as Daqi.com summed up, have been rife with posts against Carrefour, and quite a few radical netizens have already made the slogans into practice.

The boycott is supposed to be caused by the recent grief and violence the Olympic torch relay suffered from in France and the saying that a big shareholder of Carrefour, LVMH group, has donated money to the Dalai Lama.

The original text of the widely circulated appeal also explains,

  2.圣火传递中,火炬在Z D势力及其支持者的暴力阻挠下,被迫四次熄灭;
  3.负责安保的法国pol.ice任由Z D分子在其眼皮底下抢夺火炬,殴打中国残疾火炬手,却袖手旁观;
  4.火炬所到之处,法国人成群结队地举着Z D分子的旗子,叫嚣“XZ独立”、“中国羞耻”等口号,向中国示威;
  5.成群的法国青年甚至抢夺中国留学生手中的五星红旗,当众撕碎,并殴打中国留学生;
  6.法国巴黎市go-vern-ment在圣火经过市政厅时,悬挂出支持XZ独立的横幅和标语,全体市议员胸前佩带支持XZ独立的标章,使得原定于在市政厅前举行的庆祝仪式不得不取消;

The Olympic torch relay that just ended in Paris is not as peaceful as most of Chinese know about. Let’s see what French and its government have done when Chinese carried the torch, a symbol of peace and friendship into their territory.
1. Before the relay, a French TV station called on people to protest on street for the reason that they “don’t want Chinese flags flaunting all over”.
2. The torch was forced to extinguish for 4 times under the violent disruptions of Tibet separatists.
3. The French police in charge of security simply stood by to see the separatists snatching the torch, and striking the disabled torch carrier.
4. At where the torch went by, hordes of French waved the flag of separatists, clamoring “Free Tibet’, “Shame on China” to protest against China.
5. Groups of young men even scrambled the Chinese students’ Five-star flags and tore them up, two sides in conflict.
6. When the sacred fire passed by the City Hall of Paris, the banners and slogans of pro-Tibet independence were hung out and all the alderman put on the pro-separatism badges, a behavior that made the planned ceremony there cancelled.
7. The major media in France reviewed the torch relay with such headlines— Fiasco in Paris(Figaro) and A Slap on China

And it’s not unusual to see such comments tightly following up the petition.

Completely boycott Carrefour.
Resolutely boycott!

Furthermore, QQ groups all over China were set up to recruit boycott activists. A list shows that places including Chongqing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, more than 20 areas totally, have joined this cyber campaign, during which netizens can communicate by the IM tool to make the whole protest more organizational.

In fact at Kunming, a city in southern China, netizens have extended their slogans to the reality

by protesting in front of the local Carrefour. The banner reads:

Support Olympic, oppose Tibet-independence; boycott French products and Carrefour!

In Beijing, a girl held up a self-made sign to show her anger with the brutal treat Jin Jing, the disabled torch carrier received in France.

A netizen commented:

Salute to her!

A-dish-of-cuisine said:

I were not a Chinese if I didn’t bump up this post
Girl, you are the Chinese idol!
A tough slap over those indifferent people.
Anti-boycott is also on fire

This time the rivaling voice doesn’t fade as years ago when the appeal of boycotting Japan products was at climax. Even on Tianya.com, a well-known marketplace of bold clamors and patriotism, the petitions of anti-boycott don’t shy away.

In Tianya, netizen Lepel said in his post “you are so unwise to boycott Carrefour, or, you think us too unwise”,

I feel it so ridiculous when hearing that so many people are organizing a boycott against Carrefour. I bear great sorrow for their blindness, which is as much stupid as the boycotts against Japanese, American and all western products long time ago. Do you have to isolate China from the world again? Reviewing the anti-Japan activity years ago, I wonder what we commons have really got the campaign. When the tension between the governments came to ease, the anti-Japan action that slightly crossed the line got a crackdown….and we have not yet learnt a lesson from that, and now we are going to have anti-France.
Fine, with the boycott, you would simply favor advantage to all other supermarkets and let people go further and spend more for daily shopping. Anything else?
Someday in the future when a new French president comes into power or the policy gets changed, everything will just go back to “Long live China-France friendship”, sooner or later. At that time, won’t it be laughable to look back at what we are doing now?

在爽与不爽中徘徊 analyzed that it will be the Chinese people that really suffer from the boycott, if it comes true.

Boycott Carrefour? Come on! You are actually boycotting the Chinese manufactures, Chinese workmen there and the country of our own, because Carrefour pays tax to our government!!! Are you able to boycott Paris mayor? BS.

HAINAN-COCONUT-WIND(海南椰风)ridicules,

Why should I boycott? Our dynasty (allusion to the ruling party-translator) has not yet called on, and perhaps soon they will talk greatly on the China-France friendship.
In history, it used to fight hard with Vietnam, but what about now? Friendly conversation and fellowship between us two peoples! Who care about those soldiers died there? F…

柳州刺史 recalled what he was doing ten years ago,

Our city is taking pain to introduce the Carrefour in, every official extremely busy on that plan. What should I do? Boycott? Then I will be clashing with our party and country.

Anti-Japan anti-France anti-German anti-Korea anti-Taiwan anti-Italy anti-Australia anti-Vietnam anti-Britain anti-U.S…anti-world…anti-universe.
But NO anti-autarchy and corruption. So tragic men.

And Adaste concluded,

This is called “the government digs holes, and zealous youngsters plant trees”.

Finally, an analogy might reveal how a lot of people view this patriotic action.
Magicsilence said,

The patriotic youngsters are the condom of the party— discarded right after high tide.

The points of the two camps diverge sharply. Rumors have been heard that Carrefour is going to make considerable discounts on 1 May to counteract the planned boycott. And it has announced that it will always be the friend of Chinese. But even not so, the chances of a successful boycott campaign is doubted, as the predominant public opinion years ago for a boycott over Japan didn’t make a good shot, while today the each side is equally strong.

Links and pictures will be added up tommorrow.

Ten years ago when the Chinese embassy was bombed by U.S army I was even more indignant that the “patriotic young men” today. Thinking over that I really wish to slap myself.

东边日出西边女 might be facing an embarrassment,
